Not even a VAR check? Questions raised over Jackson's reckless tackle on Tomiyasu 

Clashes between Arsenal and Chelsea are often spicy affairs but Nicolas Jackson took it to another level on Tuesday.

The Gunners took an early Leandro Trossard goal. Chelsea's night almost went from bad to worse when Nicolas Jackson fouled Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Replays showed the Senegal international appearing to catch his opposite number on the ankle with a studs-up challenge early in the first half.

Remarkably, the incident was sent to a VAR review which deemed that Jackson was allowed to carry on without so much as a booking.
