Brendan Rodgers has emerged as Newcastle United's 'No.1 target' should the new mega-rich owners part company with current manager Steve Bruce.
Newcastle became the richest club in the world last Thursday, and it is thought that Bruce's days could be limited at the club, with the new owners opting for a different man to lead the rebuild.
Amanda Staveley helped the Saudi Public Investment Fund take over the club as previous owner Mike Ashley finally cashed in for £305million, and they are reportedly looking for a new manager to match the high ambitions that they share.
Rodgers is reportedly the perfect man for the job, but Leicester won't let him go on the cheap.
Reports have emerged from Sky Italy that Rodgers is Newcastle's primary target to succeed Bruce in the dugout, but the new owners will have to pay €16million (£13.5m) to buy him out of his current Leicester contract.
Raising the funds will not be an issue however, as the new majority shareholders are worth a collective £320bn, which dwarfs the riches of their fellow Premier League owners.
To put this into perspective, Manchester City who were the Premier League's richest club, are owned by Sheikh Mansour who has reported wealth of £23.3bn.
Newcastle have ambitions to reach the very top, and they appear ready to blow everybody else out of the water with their vast riches, and they reportedly hope that Rodgers will be the man to steer the ship as he is trusted with a war chest.

Rodgers has already enjoyed an impressive managerial career, and is well known for taking a club to the next level and boasting an exciting style of play, which makes him an excellent candidate for the Newcastle job.
The Northern Irish boss previously worked under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, but made a name for himself at Swansea as he led the club to Premier League promotion via the play-offs in 2011, and they impressed in the top-flight despite being favourites for relegation.
Rodgers' work at Swansea helped land him the Liverpool job in 2012, and he almost led the Reds to their first ever Premier League title during the 2013/14 season, but they agonisingly missed out towards the back end of the season.
Liverpool parted company with Rodgers in 2015 as he was replaced by Jurgen Klopp, and after a year out of the game, the Northern Irishman joined Scottish giants Celtic and made history.
Rodgers won their first ever 'double treble' as they won the treble in two consecutive seasons, but the former Celtic boss controversially left the club midway through his third season to join Leicester.
The appointment at the King Power has been fantastic and although Leicester have narrowly missed out on Champions League football in consecutive seasons, they did win their first ever FA Cup at the end of the previous campaign with a 1-0 win over Chelsea.
