HEUNG ON A MIN-UTE

Real Madrid ‘monitoring Son Heung-min with Tottenham star on transfer shortlist’ after stunning Golden Boot season

REAL MADRID are monitoring Tottenham superstar Son Heung-min, according to reports.

The 29-year-old South Korean was one of the standout players in the Premier League last season.

And he capped a brilliant campaign with his first Golden Boot - sharing it with Liverpool's Mo Salah as the pair both finished on 23 goals.

What made Son's feat even more impressive was the fact that none of his 23 strikes were penalties.

That sensational season - on top of his consistency over the past six years - has seen him linked with Champions League winners Real Madrid.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Son is one of a shortlist of forward players which the 14-time European champions are keeping tabs on.

Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to add to his attack after Gareth Bale and Isco's contracts expired at the end of the season.

Marco Asensio has also been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, with Arsenal thought to be interested.

Son, who has netted 131 times and provided 73 assists in 324 appearances for Tottenham, is among a select few forwards being muted as potential targets for Real Madrid.

They are looking to fill the void which Kylian Mbappe left after he snubbed them, instead opting to sign a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
